Generic Text Only Printer Driver Windows Xp

I have tried to setup this printer and it shows that I have a windows sign driver when I select text only. Canon Mf 4400 Series Manual : Free Programs, Utilities And Apps. But when I get to the end and hit finish it tells me I don't have a sign driver file.
