Install Windows Xp On Hp Proliant Ml110 G4
Oct 30, 2007 I do not see Windows XP on the HP Proliant ML110 server Spec sheet for certified OS. Can I still use Windows XP Professional for OS on it (Proliant ML110.
Hi All I working on a HP ML110 G4 Server - P/N 432535-425 I am trying to install a Windows XP PRO, but I can’t find a SATA/RAID driver that works. THINGS I HAVE DONE: - Prepared a Raid 1 (mirror) on the machine. - I tried an installation with a USB floppy, but in the driver selection after hitting “F6”, I get an error when I am trying to install the driver from the floppy. --------------------- “File txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (32768) at line 1747 in d: xpsprtm base boot setup oemdisk.c. – Press any key to continue”.
--------------------- This error persists whether I am using a different driver from HP download site or if I am trying to install the machine with a Windows Server 2003. Hp Compaq 6530s Service Manual on this page. - I have also made a bootable Windows XP PRO CD-ROM, with the SATA/RAID drivers, and I can see during the installation that the drivers are loaded, but I still get the error, --------------------- “that the installation could not find any disk”. --------------------- So does any one in here have any suggestion to what I could try to make this server run with a Windows XP Pro?
MiloMann, This is almost certainly a driver issue. Retrieve the spare number (SPN) from your controller and search the HP support site for drivers for that particular part number. If the driver is incorrect, it will not load when Windows wants to install and will appear to be a floppy drive access problem. That is not the case in most instances. Check your driver for your controller. I had the wrong one, and everything worked once I loaded the correct controller driver courtesy of HP support.
Jburr You were right, it was a driver problem. Cornell Note Taking Method Custom Pdf Generator In Php. But now I have a new problem:-) - I am booting on the CD-ROM with the USB stick attached to one of the USB ports. - Hitting F6 in the windows installation - Selecting the SATA RAID (82801GR ICH7R) from the USB Stick - Selecting a disk to install on, and creating a partition. - Formatting the disk with NTFS After the installation is done formatting, and is starting to copy files, it wants the SATA/RAID driver again from floppy/USB driver. But the USB drive is not responding. Is the USB disabled at this point in the installation?
